She Spoke....She Heard....She Rests

What happens when you put over 600 women, a fabulous worship leader (Cheri Keaggy), the Proverbs 31 Ministry Team, and guest speaker Jennifer Rothschild into a humongous hotel? You get a whole lot of Jesus!! Wow! What a great weekend!! Just got back from She Speaks last night. Y'all, it was amazing....rather, God reminded me how amazing He is and the amazing things He does in the lives of people who tell Him "yes!"

I am still processing all that God revealed to me this weekend. Some things were gentle reminders, and others were surprises! I was truly reminded that His ways are so much higher than my simple, stay in the box ways! As I study His Word, I know that He will share with me His plans...for He already knows what they are. An awesome weekend, y'all!

Over the past 3 days, I had the wonderful opportunity to see old friends and meet new ones! What's funny is that some of the old friends are you from bloggyland that I've chatted with for a year now! I finally got to see you face to face! What fun!! Jen, from Balancing Beauty and Bedlam, hosted a get together for bloggers on Friday night after our sessions. We had a ball!! It was like meeting old friends! You know, there are those who use the internet for evil. But, God can use it for good! He blessed sweet times with ladies from all over the country who had only connected through the internet. He is good and faithful!
Heather--my new running buddy and Jen (inpassionatepursuit.blogspot.com---y'all, my computer is not wanting to add this link!! I am so sorry Jen!! I promise it's not you!!) and me (I am feeling a little short here, people!! And, I was wearing heels!)

I want to share some of my pics from this weekend with you. I will share more pictures and stories this week! I promise!! And, I want to introduce you to the girls in my Speaker's Track group as well! I will post on Wednesday and Friday, so be sure to come back and visit! Check out the blogs of these gals when you get a minute...you will be blessed!!

Starring Lee Merrill as herself!! I just heart her!
Tammy and me--she ran with us on Saturday! Awesome lady!
Emily and Nester--two of the funniest sisters around! They are precious! I want one of those little pins they are wearing!!

Me and the Nester--hoping that some of her decorating savvy will rub off on me!!Me and Mari--she is the sweetest little thing! We met last year at SS.

Me, Lee, and Pamela (Pink Shoe Lady) posing for the camera! Pamela even had darlin' little pink shoe earrings on!! Too cute!

Disclaimer!!!OK--I do know that you do not start off a sentence with me!! But, I happened to be on the left-hand side in these pics!! The teacher in me is going bananas!!

Wendy (My roomie and precious friend from last year), Rachel Olsen--darlin' She Speaks friend, and myself at dinner--it was yummy! And this picture is especially for Elaine Olsen!! She had the nerve to tell me not to wear my ugly crocs to the conference!! Can you believe that!? So, I threw them in the car anyway!!! Heehee!!! Love you, Elaine!! These crocs--believe it or not--are adorable!! Jen is wearing these, and I tried them on, and they felt just as wonderful as my ugly crocs do! I am on a mission to find some to wear soon!! I may even buy a pair for Elaine!! :)

Many Blessings!

Looks like a blast!!!and when I mentioned it my sweet husband asked why I wasn't going. Jennifer Rothschild! I am doing her study me,myself and lies right now, and I am hearing the Lord speak to me about many things. I cannot link up to Jen's either. She said I need to use a different browser, but her sight is the only one I have this problem with. I don't know why. Can't wait to hear all about it. Have a wonderful week. Jackie

Susan,
I'm so glad y'all all had a good time at She Speaks. I thought about it so many times last weekend. Loved looking at the pictures on your post! So good to put some names and faces together with more than just a "bio" picture! :)

Looking forward to Wednesday and Friday's blogs.

Wish I could have gotten in a few more hugs (cause you know, I'm a hugger!). It was so wonderful seeing you again. And I meant what I said about the beach. It's halfway between us. We've got to get a trip planned! Much love and I can't wait to hear all that She Speaks did for you. I'm still unpacking my own lessons and changes.

Don't bother ... they are adorable with adorable feet to match, but I never wear open-toed shoes. Have you seen my feet?!

Can't wait to hear more.

Love your pics Susan! Greg can't remember the name of the neighborhood we lived in either. I just remember the address: 411 Cheyenne Drive.
So glad you were in my group...it was great getting to know you. Hope we have a chance to spend more time together in the future!
His greatest to you!

I am truly bummed that I didn't get to meet you! I didn't end up making Friday night for the Blogger Meet. I look forward to hearing all that God showed you while there.

Maybe next year I'll get the chance to meet you!

Susan,

Seeing your sweet face, hugging your neck was one of the highlights of my She Speaks experience. I have framed the beautiful gift you gave me. It holds a precious place in my kitchen, amidst our gathering of family photos. I see it all day every day, and I will think of you and the rich blessings God has showered upon me since the release of Hidden Joy. Most especially, friends like you, women I never would have met but for God allowing pain and suffering in my life.

I LOVE your post...SHE RESTS...that is me!! I went to the P31 office today and literally had nowhere to sit. Had to move boxes and clear off stacks from my desk to get my work done. But it was worth it because the weekend was INCREDIBLE.

Love you and SO thankful for you,

Wendy

Love the photos and your reflections on the "She Speaks" event, Susan. It's amazing to hear how the Lord answered our prayers to "speak" to each of the attendees in a way that was personalized for their heart.

I could feel your joy here in Raleigh, and my soul was rejoicing with you as I revisited my memories of the 2008 conference.

Thanks for filling me in. It was a busy weekend for me as the Lord opened the door for my book to be sold in its first bookstore (Quail Ridge Books & Music in Raleigh) based on my Amazon bestseller success. You helped make that possible too! Bless you.

Continuing to pray you are blessed beyond measure. Thanks for the latest comment on my blog entry. Stay in touch dear sister in Christ!

Enjoy the day, and go rest!

Mary

Hey!! I am so sorry I didn't join you Sunday morning. A combination of "are they still meeting at 6:30 even though things don't start til 9:30" and "my legs are killing me" and a roommate who said,"Tammy, you have to drive 6 hours today. Do not get up that early." Anyway, I just want you to know how much you inspired me!! Truly, I have been running/walking twice since getting home! And I am going to stick with it! I want to be you when I grow up!!!

Hee hee!

Love you!

Tammy

I keep hearing more about this conference. I just started blogging a few months ago, but it's such a delight to meet new friends. Thanks for splashing me today with God's goodness.

Susan
I am thrilled that God could use me to inspire you to be a student of His Word. He will be faithful to you and return your efforts 10-fold.
You can email me at wendy@proverbs31.org. I would love to help a fellow Student of the Word.
You are beautiful inside and out. I look forward to hearing how God is going to bless you as you obey Him.
Much love

Well hey girl! How are you feelin? I told my kids to excuse the way I've been saying ya'll all the time. I just now feel like I can compose a sentence. I just wanted to thank you for just the privilege of being around your "southern hospitality" charm and to share in the love of running together. I do hope our paths cross at another time. I will be praying for you as the Lord leads you in the next step. Have a great week!
