I'm So Excited!

Hey, y'all! Happy Friday! As the title suggests, I am a happy camper this morning! First, I finished my last class yesterday for teacher recertification--I don't have to take another one for 5 years!! Woohoo!! Second, I completed my long run of the week this morning without having to cut it short due to the heat and humidity! Another praise!! Third, I am going to see Beth Moore tonight at a local church where she is going to be simulcast from Kentucky(??). I can't wait to see what words God has laid upon her sweet little heart to share with the rest of us! I've got my Bible, my notebook and pen, and my over 40 glasses to see the tiny print in said Bible! Now..to find something cute to wear in my junky closet!! Next week, I am going to set some manageable goals with my housecleaning--including the closet, junk drawers, and the really scary place--my youngest son's bedroom!! Oooh! But, that's next week!

I have just finished reading, THE SHACK, by William Young. Several of us in bloggy land and here in my town want to discuss it. Y'all, it's a really interesting book! I got so much out of it. I encourage you to read it and see how you think it lines up with your relationship with God. I am not going to write about it on my blog because I want you to read it without having any preconceived notions. Feel free to email me if you've read it and want to discuss it. :)

In a previous blog, I had mentioned that I had a lot going on with decisions in my life. I truly have appreciated your words of encouragement. Y'all are great! God has shown me many truths in this. I am not going to go to the interview for the full time job. It's clearly not in HIS plans for me at this time. I hate to waste someone else's time interviewing for a position that I know HE isn't going to bless for our family. HE has shown me some awesome things through HIS Word and from other folks that HE will put into play according to HIS perfect timing ! That, my sweet little friends, is what I need to do-- simply follow HIM with faith and obedience. I am just so excited!!! I can't wait to see what HE's going to do next.

Y'all have a wonderful weekend!! I am counting down the days until that sweet little Lysa T. comes to Greenville to speak! I can't wait to see her again and hear what else God is doing in her life.

Hugs, y'all!

Hey Suze,
I too am going to Beth Moore. I just posted about it today. I should've posted early but when the Spirit speaks, He speaks. I'm going to my local church. You are right, she is in KY. Louisville, KY and it's only 60 minutes from me but it's been sold out for many months. I think 10,000 seats. I'll let you read the rest over on my blog.

I have seriously contemplated trying to start a habit of running or rather jogging, trotting like a turtle.

I made a donation to Life Today and the Shack is one of the five books they are sending me. Can't wait. They were talking about it just this morning. THey said it's a great book to give to unsaved folks. Thinking I might pray about giving it to my brother. Maybe I'll wait and buy out the local store and give it to EVERYONE for Cmas. Yeah!

So glad you've heard from God and He's given you the confidence to know what to do.

I'm still trying to email you.

Do you have another account like a hotmail or gmail account. I'm bound and determined to send this email to you. It's kind of lengthy. I'll keep trying.

I think I MIGHT have it figured it. Have you put my email/name in your email address book?

When I clicked on details, this is what it showed:

Reporting-MTA: dns;blu0-omc4-s35.blu0.hotmail.com
Received-From-MTA: dns;BLU138-W46
Arrival-Date: Fri, 1 Aug 2008 12:10:47 -0700

Final-Recipient: rfc822;carolinahoods@charter.net
Action: failed
Status: 5.5.0
Diagnostic-Code: smtp;550 Message identified as SPAM - Please visit http://www.charter.com/p

Notice it said message identified as spam. So instead of putting me in your junk folder it is just blocking me all together. Try adding my email to your address book then I give it a whirl again.

Enjoy your time hearing from God via Beth Moore. God definitely uses that lady to speak to my heart!

I would love to run with you, if we lived closer together, maybe someday. Hey maybe until we are closer together...I will train really hard...so 1) I could keep up with you and 2)hold on a conversation while we were running!

HA!

Love you, have a terrific weekend!

Hey Susan,
Great to hear you're burning up the trails with all your running! Wow, I haven't even gotten around to walking the dog today!

Have a great time at Beth Moore. I saw her last year at a church near me and she was just fantastic! I know you'll be blessed!

Sorry I haven't responded to the tagging. I was away and have been consumed with actual paying work. (Great news, but I wish it wasn't in the summer!) By the time I get to it, it'll probably be too late. :-(

When I have a chance I'll email you about The Shack. I might be one of only a handful of people, but I really did not like it. My biggest complaint was that I thought the author put words into God's mouth that don't line up with His Word. What did you think?

Be well. Have an awesome weekend.
Blessings,
Kelli

Hey, Kelli! I know what you mean about the author's "wordage". I had to get past that to see the whole picture of the book. Once I did,...then I enjoyed it. It made me think about some things a little differently. :) I started a book by Anne Rice--"Christ the Lord, the Road to Cana". I couldn't get past the first few pages. It wasn't the Jesus that I know from scripture. So, I do know what you mean, girlfriend!

Just wanted to give a quick response. Enjoy your weekend. We have a nasty storm a brewing!!
Love ya,
Susan

Hey Susan,

Have you had a make over on your blog since I last visited??? Hmmmm, it looks GREAT.

Glad you enjoyed the Shack, yes, I read it, incredible and I actually got 2 of my sons to read it too. MAJOR...

I went to Beth Moore's Simulcast and I'm just soaking it all in, another life changing event.

Is this woman anointed or what? It was such a special time at the end when I held hands with my daughter in love and repeated that proclamation. I was sobbing...

OK, sorry for the rambling, getting caught up!

Blessings♥

First, I'm so glad that you got to go to hear Beth. She's awesome! Give an update when time allows.

Second, I'm also reading "The Shack"...I'm trying at least. The jury's still out over here, but I will finish it. It's compelling.

Lastly, you will love Alicia's book. I really wish I had the budget to give everyone a copy.

Thanks, runner mom, for visiting my blog and for running toward Jesus. He is worth it. I know that you agree.

Have a blessed Sunday rest.

Susan,
Just wanted you to know that I continue to try to said my original email to you. I've replied to every one you've sent but they were returned as "spam".

Try to add me back into your contacts.

We've got to get this to work so we can communicate via email.
Love,
Paula

Susan, I hate to keep leaving messages on your blog since they don't pertain to this post...that's a pet peeve of mine as I like to communicate outside of blogland and via email when it's not blog related. Anyway, I've been unsuccessful once again to send email to you. I clicked on the error and it said to go to a charter.net help page. I went there and it explained the error of email being reported as SPAM. I have not emailed unblock@charter.net and asked the to remove the flag of spam from my email address. Good gravy. Charter sure does have tight restrictions.

While on the help page I read some other stuff. They sure are strict...one error was defined as having too many messages received that day. One error said it only allows 10KB...so I doubt I will be able to send you any pictures of my yard, "mini oasis". We'll see once I get unblocked.
Love,
P

Sweet!

Congrts on finishing your re-cert class! (with all you have going on this is HUGE)

Congrats on finishing your long run with no breaks! That rocks! Especeially with the heat and humidity that we have been having here over the past few days!! (hot would be the understatement of the century)

You are so awesome to listen for HIS plan instead of tryin gto make your plan HIS!! Lots of respect from me for that. (not sure I could/can/would have done it that way)

Speaking of listening for HIS way, I could use some prayer in the same area............ like the JOB area..
