Sweet Shot Tuesday...on Wednesday!

Make me walk along the paths of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found. Psalm 119:35

This picture of my sweet friend makes me smile. We were scoping out places for a photo shoot. We parked the car and simply began to walk down this dirt road/path. Funny thing is, we walked and didn't run. She loves running even more than I do! For us to slow down and walk was huge. It's the same way with the Lord. When we run ahead of Him, we tend t0 miss out on His wonderful plans and blessings for us. We think that we have all of the answers, when we truly don't. This Scripture has been whispering to my heart all week. I want the blessings of His happiness. In order to receive that, I need to slow down, spend time in His Word to hear those commands and pray.

Slowing down a bit....and enjoying each moment!
Join me at Sweet Shot Tuesday for more photos...I am running/walking a day behind!!

Sweet Blessings!

Susan, I love this shot! Just got my new camera, so I'm paying more attn. to photos now.

Did you do some editing on this? I'm still learning all of that too. Pretty shot!

Simply a beautiful shot! Thank you so much for your sweet comments on my blog.

I made my blog and header wider by using this tutorial http://www.bloggerguide.lk/2008/04/minima-with-wider-post-area.html

then when I add the photos, I click the "large" button and the pictures are bigger.
Let me know if you try it and if it doesn't work, I'll keep trying to help!

Susan, thanks for making me slow down long enough to ponder a lovely scripture. Indeed, "make me walk on His paths" and not run ahead. How sweet it is to walk with our Lord!

Blessings to you!

Causes me to think of Psalm 46:10 and one of the translations reads: cease striving.

That keeps coming to the forefront of my thoughts this week, to cease striving.

Love YOU!

Hi, Susan, I got the Canon T1i and I think I'll be very happy with it. Got the 50mm lens & the kit lens & so far, so good. I've got SO much to learn. I've been using Photoscape now for a few weeks for editing & I'm liking it a lot. And it's free! I doubt I'll dive into PHotoshop, at least not for a long while. I've found Piknik and Picasa to be pretty good too.

The older I get, the harder it is to run. There's a lesson there somewhere! I think the more mature we grow in the Lord (as well as in life), the easier is walking, probably because the rewards are so great.

Walking alongside you ...

Thank you for your words...sweet friend.
