Don't you just LOVE surprises? Especially when they are delivered by a man in a brown truck? And YOUR name is on the box? Whoo-hoo!! I received a big'ol box the other day and did a little happy dance.
One of my readers, Amykat, sells a really cool product that hasn't made its way down here to SC--yet! She and I were chatting about this product and the next thing I knew, that precious little gal from Texas sent me a sampling of her wonderful product line. Have you ever heard of Scentsy? I had not, but now...it's another story! Y'all, this stuff is really cool! You have a beautiful electrical warmer/light that heats up these cute little scented bars of yummy smells! You simply heat the bar in this little dish that sits on top of the lamp. Then it melts, and a delightful aroma fills your home. My house is smellin' spruce and citrusy!
Now, the really neat thing about this is that when you want to change fragrances, you simply heat up what's in the bowl until it is liquid. Then, you pour what's left back into the original container. It hardens and reshapes itself into a block until you want to use it again. No waste!!! No smoke!! No burning down the house!! I really "heart" this stuff!
Check out Amy's blog and go over to her sidebar that has Scentsy on it. With Christmas coming, this would make a great gift for moms, sisters, friends, or yourself! Enjoy!!
I'm working on my fall fluffin' post! I still have out all of my summer fun decorations--it's still 87 degrees and extremely humid. It's hard to think cooler weather when you don't feel it! I did change out the front door wreath. One step at the time! Y'all have a great day!!
Sweet Blessings!

I wasn't able to upload pics this morning either and it is because they added a little blurb at the bottom and you have to click the box to check mark you agree with their policy. I guess we will have to do this with each upload from now.
Try it again and see if that doesn't do the trick.
I have missed hearing from you, it has been busy here with much subbing. I bet you have been busy w/ cross country, subbing etc. Hope everything is well your way, I am getting ready to spread some fall around here too. Need some wonderful scents in my house. Have a great evening. Jackie
I love getting deliveries!!! And Scentsy smells so yummy!!
You asked about the topiaries, it is actually just cheap-o brown craft paint, I always get the least expensive one, and then I make a glaze by adding water. BUT, if you are not very familiar or comfortable, they make a glazing medium by the same companies that make the craft paint, and you just add a little bit to the acrylic craft paint. It stays wet longer than a water glaze, and allows you a longer time to work with it. I know Folk Art makes it and I think it is about $1 - $2.
Let me know what you think if you give it a try. Email me if you need help let--it--shine@hotmail.com
Take care,

Glad for your surprise! I ran today and last night. I thought of you as the rain was pelting down on me. You gave me courage to embrace the rain again! Thanks. Have a great weekend.

I am ALWAYS amazed when I get a little surprise from a fellow blogger. VERY SWEET!
You are too sweet, Susan.
This Texas gal thinks you are pretty special! :)
I'm thrilled to hear you are enjoying the Scentsy.
How cool!! I need to check that out!
I see your pictures today. Yay!
A few years ago I spoke at a ladies meeting and they gave me a little thingie much like you have featured today except that it was not electric. It had a little hollow underneath where you put a tea light candle which melted the waxy stuff in the top holder. I loved (still do) it.
Hope you're having a great week!

Susan,

Love to you and may your hear rejoice with mine as our saviour, HE LIVES.
Lovingly,

I have heard of Scentsy, but never used it. I don't think it's sold anywhere around here either. I LOVE candles and the way they make my home smell. Does scentsy give off alot of aroma? I'm gonna have to give those a try. I really like that you can pour the liquid back in the package and use it again. That's a cool product.
Thanks for stopping by to say hi!
~Amanda
