Sweet Shot Tuesday--Fall and Thanksgiving!

The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world and all who live in it..." Psalm 24:1

Ok, I promised a few fall pictures from sunny South Carolina! The two shots of the leaves....mercy! I just wish that I could truly figure out how to enlarge these photos for you to get a better glimpse! But.....I will focus on the blog post at hand and not dwell on my limited computer skills. God amazes me with His beautiful colors! The last one is not one of my favorites! We are on a suspension bridge above a waterfall at Raven Cliff Falls....way far up,and I do NOT do heights! Yes, Hubby and the boys were making it swing with me on it prior to this shot! You see that I am the only one hanging on!
We arrived at the falls at noon, so the sun was perfectly overhead and gorgeous...but with not the best photo shooting opportunities. But, I was with my boys, and that's what mattered.
It's going to be a busy week and a half ahead, so I won't be posting again until after Thanksgiving....I know myself!!! We will be celebrating at our house this year with my side of the family. This will be the first Thanksgiving without Daddy, and he will be greatly missed. The peace that we all have with where he is gets us through each day. Praise the Lord! It's one of the many blessings that God has given us.
So, bloggyland friends, what are you most thankful for? I would love to hear. And, what are your plans for Thanksgiving? A precious friend of mine and her family are going to serve Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless. How wonderful to be the hands of Christ!

Join me at Darcy's for Sweet Shot Tuesday for more great photos! And, Happy Thanksgiving, my sweet friends!
Hugs!

I have just been marveling at the beauty of the color of the leaves this week. What artwork God has displayed for us. I would be hanging on too, and I am so thankful for family, all that God has blessed me with, much more than I deserve. We will be having Thanksgiving at my house and my parents will be coming down. I'll have my sweet baby here too. Looking forward to a great day! Jackie

Well, you are doing much better than I ever would, 'cause there is NO WAY I would step foot on a suspension bridge!!! It gives me shivers just to think about it!

What am I most thankful for? Good health. Our family will never take it for granted, ever again.

I love all your pictures!!!!!

As for Thanksgiving, we may stay here or if I'm feeling up to it, a drive to Chapel Hill to eat with Billy's folks. I'm just thankful to be well enough to enjoy my family this year. We're keeping everything low key and playing it by ear. Just lost another friend today to cancer, and my heart hurts. And my mind wanders a bit...

I love you friend. Keep me posted on your life.

Precious friend,

Love the photos and your upbeat spirit!

Enjoy your family over the Thanksgiving holiday. I have family coming too and I'm cooking. So excited to see my daughter and grand girls, my brother, his wife and their boys. Will be loads of laughter going on.

I am thankful for so many things...but this moment I'm thankful that I have family to put my arms around and that makes me pray for those who don't.

I love you.

Hey Susan,

I don't do heights either! Jon has to walk next to me with his arm around me when we cross the suspension bridge at Grandfather Mt., NC. Thanks for sharing your bravery and the beauty! What a glorious fall we are having so late into November. Our Father is an incredible artist--you capture the work of His hands so well. Happy Thanksgiving!!
