This morning on the radio, the DJ's were talking about what their "bucket lists" would include. As I meandered through the high school traffic taking child #2 to school, I pondered this as well. If you are not familiar with the movie, "The Bucket List," it's about two grown men--not in the best of health--developing their friendship and imagining what they would like to do before they die The sky was the limit. It's a pretty good movie--if you can handle Jack Nicholson's language! Anyway, I started thinking.
And thinking......................................
And thinking......................................
Y'all, I don't have a bucket list! Mercy! I need to start one! I'll probably never do half the stuff that I put on it, but it would be fun to at least have one! How about you? Do you have one? If so, what are some of the items on it? What would you like to do at least once in your life---no money strings attached--if you were given the opportunity? Share it right here on my little blog, please! You might give me some ideas!
Hmmm.....travel to the Grand Canyon with my family and hike to the bottom???
Have lunch with Beth Moore and then go shopping? (Heehee!)
Visit a third world country and love on little ones who have never heard about Jesus?
Have the opportunity to take pictures in locations that have never been photographed?
Ok, so I'm thinking! Come think with me!
Sweet Blessings,

I don't have one as well. That being said, I'd love a home in the mountains near Gatlinburg. I'd move there tomorrow if it were possible, but now I'm at least content to wait until my chemo is through and Spring has arrived.
Truly, the hills inhabit the praises of their King! I'd like to sing with them for a long, extended period of time.

I'm with Elaine...LOVE Gatlinburg and a cabin there would be awesome!
We just marked something off of our bucket list...Niagara Falls! I'll be posting about it once I get my computer back. Bill's not very good about sharing his...I have time limits! ;-)
Hugs...
I *do* have a bucket list. And running a half-marathon was on it. And it did it not once -- but twice! :-)
I don't have one. But you've gotten me to thinking. I'll let you know. Thanks for stretching my imagination today! ;)

I actually have one, and I have 10 items on my list thus far. Some of my desires are:
to sit at a quaint little table with coffee conversing with Beth Moore or to travel with her to the Holy Lands
to conquer my own pie crust
to attend the Olympics, doesn't matter to me if it is the Summer or Winter.
Lovingly-

Rightly or wrongly, I've concluded that the having of a Bucket List is simply one more "should" in a long list of stuff I need/want to do. So I don't have one; at least not a formal one.
I'm thinking: to live one day-at-a-time, and to be lead of the Lord, I need to be open/flexible, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, or go here/there as prompted.
Mostly I'm grateful for the vast opportunities we've all been given from which to make our choices.
Blessings,
Kathleen
P.S. I sometimes refer to "my Bucket List", but it's a euphemism, meaning there's lots of stuff I'd like to do, but in no formal way; no formal sequence.
Hi Susan:
Good fun posting! I like your list...
I don't have a list, but I'm pretty open to trying new things, well... within some sort of reason! :)
Hugs!
Don't have a bucket list either. Just trying to seize the opportunities that God lays before me day by day. Have a wonderful weekend. Jackie
Bucket List whether long or short are a good thing...I believe we ALL need to dream!!!
I don't have a bucket list but I would love to have one, I just need the time to do one. The things I would include on mine are go and see the sunrise and sunset of aiyers rock, run a marathon, help to build a school in a country in poverty and make sure the world remembered my name!
I don't have one, but it would be a good idea, I think. Keep dreaming! And let us know if and when you start crossing things off.
Hey dear friend,
I've never seen the movie and didn't know what a bucket list was. duh!! (smile).
I have to agree with what Sonja, Kathleen, Beth and Elaine said but I will add that I'd like to climb a mountain, take 7 days in Jerusalem with my hubby, learn to crochet in one day and then make two blankets for my grand daughters, finish and publish my book this year and have enough money to hand it to as many people as I wanted without having to charge them.
Ok, I'd also like to go to Hawaii with my hubby.
I'd love to take a trip to Ethiopia and Uganda to love on the children.
I'd love to build a community of homes to house young ladies and women and their babies and help mentor them in the Lord and get them situated to go back out into the world with their children and LIVE FOR CHRIST.
If money was no issue I'd FLY to see YOU and every one of my blog friends in their states and then...I'd pay to fly all of you here to stay with me!!!
Ok, that's my bucket list.
Love you girl!
Well, I'm kinda late to this party! But I at least wanted to say "hi!" I've been thinking about you and what's going on with you these days.
I don't have a bucket list, but there are sooooo many things I want to do. Lots of them have to do with traveling and adventure. I'd also like to be a longer-term missionary in Haiti. I'd like to write a book. Hmmm, I think I need to start a list...
Love and hugs,
Kelli
Fresh Maryland seafood delivered to my home in Portland, Oregon!
well, there are always things that you want but don't treat yourself to. It may be a matter of money, or geography, whatever, there are always places to go and things to do, people to meet. I think none of these things would really be on anyone's list if they were really dying. My son is dying and what he wanted and got was to be with the ones he loved in places that he could share with them. The theme party where he dressed as the Mad Hatter. Niagara Falls for the day with mom and dad. the family thanksgiving. Surrounded by love is what he wanted. only love shared. This is what I want on my bucket list
