Sweet Shot Tuesday

My soul finds rest in God alone,
my salvation comes from Him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
Psalm 62:1-2

This shot was taken across the road from a beautiful mountain, Table Rock. It was such a bright and gorgeous afternoon! So peaceful, so quiet. I could have rested in Him there for quite some time, but...supper time was calling! What are some of your favorite quiet places? I would love for you to share them with us.

Join me at Sweet Shot Tuesday for more great photographs! Lots of beautiful 4th of July shots. Y'all have a great day and try to stay cool!

Sweet Blessings,

What a lovely photo and wonderfully encouraging Bible verses! I love how the main flower is close while the rest are far away. I am really going to have to read up on my easy to use digital camera and try for some of these fun effects. Thanks for the inspiration :)

I need to remember to pack my camera along with me everywhere I go. There's just so much to capture, but first you've got to be looking, and alert. It's such a good life-lesson!

Thanks for the moment of beauty,
Kathleen

The outdoors... while out walking or running. Also, bathtime is a personal favorite for me.

Really, any moments after about 9:30 in the evening; that's when my house is the most quiet and most precious... kids in bed.

Love the photo as it speaks to me of the HOPE of our eternal home in the distance - that longing - that God has placed within us for our heavenly home - even though right now we must live in the NOW of our existance. We can bloom where we are planted until we reach the mountain ahead!

I have those same flowers growing at my mailbox. They are beautiful. My favorite quiet place is the beach during off season. There is nothing like sitting in the chair with the ocean in front of you, listening to its sounds and just being still before God. I am needing some of those times right now, but it is just too HOT here!!!
